FALL WEDDING | Big Yellow Barn, Bozeman MT
I met Andrew and Vikki just a couple days before their wedding as they signed their contract. Well, actually, that is when I met Andrew, I had met Vikki before, but it was a secret we were keeping.
Two things you need to know for that opening make any sense:
I don’t usually meet my couples right before the wedding, but I was the fill-in photographer for their photographer who became very ill and realized he would not make it through their day. Since he is my son, and I had been planning to be his second shooter that day, it was the most logical solution to have me capture their day solo; and
Vikki and I had met in the months prior and put together a boudoir album for her to use as Andrew’s wedding day gift. But we didn’t want to let on that we had met so as not to spoil the surprise.
Although we missed having my son along, the three of us ended up working together perfectly!
It was a mid-September wedding day at the Big Yellow barn, and the day was crystal clear with the Bridger Mountains showing off their strength and power as a backdrop for Vikki and Andrew joining their lives in front of all their fun, crazy, complicated, loving and supportive people! Family and friends had come from both coasts and everywhere in between and nobody was wasting a minute of good time that day.
And Vikki and Andrew gave them a heck of a great day! Naturally somewhat of an outspoken introvert, Vikki laughed her way through their ceremony. And Andrew? Well, he just adored her and cried emotional tears of joy to be marrying this spectacular woman!
The rest of their story, from a mother’s love for her daughter to first looks with fathers and brothers to the garter toss caught in the overhead wiring is a story best told through in the images!
