CHELSEA AND TRENT | HYALITE CANYON WINTER ENGAGEMENT ADVENTURE

When Chelsea asked for a consultation on wedding packages last fall I was jumping with joy. She was a classmate of my son’s for a number of years, and I noticed she followed and engaged with my Instagram account. So it was no surprise to me that she and Trent had gotten engaged. I hoped she would contact me, and when it happend, I was so excited!

Once we arranged the perfect wedding package for them, we went right into planning the engagement session. Chelsea knew exactly what she wanted; a romantic winter session with snow and tulle and all the most beautiful mountain views, please. It had to be during her Winter break, which mean early January after she returned from holiday travel. My heart skipped a beat with excitement, because I’m in love with the beauty and intensity of Montana winters as the backdrop for a romantic session!

On January 6th the three of us jumped into my truck and headed up the mountain for some fun and beautiful views. We got some great light, plus a couple of snow squalls, bluster winds, lots of giggles and a whole lot of joy making these images! It was an engagement adventure with all the amazing rewards of the mountains in the winter.

Trent and Chelsea brought their A-game and we had so much fun - laughing, dancing, twirling, lifting, snowflakes on eyelashes, tulle blowing in the wind, snuggling and kissing. What more could you want in an engagement session.

They were true Montanans, showing their grit through the cold and windy parts - if you know Hyalite Canyon you know it is a beautiful and harsh environment - we got some of both. Chelsea kept warm with longjohns under the tulle, a soft textured blanket and Trent’s warm arms to wrap around her. I think there may have been some of those little handwarmer pads involved too!

I can’t wait to see what we get to do with their wedding day sunset session - they are going to be on the Billings Rim Rocks in late July, and I know they will be stunning. With their wonderful style as a couple, it is going to be so fun to work with them for the most important day of their lives!

I also got a sneak peek at her wedding dress (well, a photo of it) and let me tell you she is going to be stunning! She is so kind and sweet, and has such a great vision - I know she is going to be an amazing bride.
