3 REASONS PIPESTONE IS PERFECT FOR A ROMANTIC ADVENTURE PHOTO SESSION

I always thought Pipestone was just for the off-road vehicle crowd, until I took Andrea and Tim out there late last spring. Suddenly my eyes were opened to a whole new perspective! So I want to share with you three reasons to consider this for your romantic adventure photo session - engagement session, or just because you love each other sessions are going to be phenominal here.

Reason One: Amazing Sunsets

The photos speak for themselves on this! The light at sunset in Pipestone is beautiful - and we all know that light is everything to a photographer wanting to make beautiful images. The reflection of the sunset on the hills to the north and east is also amazing - basically the sunset equivalant of surround sound! These are all from one day with intermittent rain showers, so, hey, there may be even more amazing sunsets that you will get to experience!

Reason Two: Easy Access

It really isn’t that far from Bozeman - just a trip West on I-90, for 50 - 60 minutes or so. Then the road up into the recreation area is well maintained and easy to travel. And there are a ton of places to pull over and grab a fun shot or two.

When you do stop, you really don’t have to go far from your parking spot to have a variety of views and environments. All of the images in this post were taken within a stone’s throw of the car and no sweat was broken to get anywhere.

Reason Three: A Whole Lot of Fun!

Whether you are scrambling on the rocks, walking on one of the well worn trails, or enjoying a sage grass meadow, there is fun to be had. Plus, you can bring your dogs!

If you want, you can throw in your camping gear and make an overnight trip of it - now that sounds like a whole lot of fun! Mountain biking, dirt biking and four-wheeling are obvious fun activities that yes, we can incorporate into your session. Wild flower viewing, bird watching, and hiking are all great options.
